Kadet's for P09
« on: April 01, 2017, 02:12:05 PM »
The Kadet's to fit the P09's are here. Just purchased one from GB. Under $250.00 with shipping and no CC fees. usgunsource.com out of Colorado Springs. Does not require an FFL either. Who knew?

No need for an FFL for Kadet shipment as it's just the upper. Let us know how it is after you've shot it. I'm looking at this to add to my 75 Kadet.  8)

Yup, no need for an FFL unless it has a firing mechanism.

I was just looking at a Kadet for my P-09. Less expensive then one for myCZ 75B. Anyone have one on their P-09. Really like to know how it is compared to one on the 75.

I don't know squat about these adapters.

I don't have a P-09, nor P-07 as I prefer the metal frame CZ's and do have the original Kadet Kit for my 75 base pistols.  It is a stellar conversion unit.  I have not shot the ones designed for the P-09, or P-07, but from what I read they have an aluminum slide, unlike the all steel/cut out slide of the original Kadet, and Kadet II adaptor.  That is why they are less expensive also.  I hope they operate well, but I have not seen a review yet.

I have the Kadet kit for my 07 and enjoy shooting it very much. There was no fitting required like the Kadet for the 75 series does. Now that 22LR ammo is back on the shelves I am buying it in bulk as these kits are so fun to shoot. These kits are great stating aides for a young person or woman who might be shy of noise or recoil. The rear sights are FULLY adjustable. I wish the other CZ's came through with these sights. Only down side is the amount of crud(technical term) that blows back into your face from the very dirty 22 ammo. Wear glasses :o

Thanks for the heads up!  Just found one on GB for $233 including credit card fees and ground shipping.  I've been looking forward to having this option.

Whitecap - is the rear sight on your P-07 kit adjustable for windage AND elevation? Mine is windage only and I would love to have a means to adjust for elevation without replacing the front sight. Mine shoots 1.5" low at 15 yards, 3-4 inches low at 50 yds. I have looked at replacement front sights on the CZ USA website but have not yet confirmed if they fit the P-07 Kadet kit.

Thanks.

Hugh

Sorry Hugh, my bad. It was the Kadet 2 for the 75 series pistols and the EAA kits that have both adjustments. Have you shot it from a rest? Do before you blame the sights.

Whitecap - thanks for the reply. My 75 series Kadet kits have the adjustable sights. They are great for getting POA/POI but I've never had to adjust them again. They are accurate kits on every platform I have put them on. My stainless 75 wears a Kadet kit most of the time and it is astoundingly accurate.

As for the P-07 kit - its the sights.

Got the new P09 Kadet kit today and thought I would include a picture for all those interested.

No that's an optical contusion. I didn't put the slide lock in. That's the empty hole and with the mag behind it, it only appears to be the stem of the slide lock. There is a specific slide lock pin that must be used with the Kadet. Will test fire it tomorrow.

Looking forward to your range report and impressions.

The first press reports showed Shadow 2 adjustable sights on the P-09 conversion kit but it looks like they didn't make it to the production version.  http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2016/12/jeremy-s/inside-cz-usas-2017-product-catalog

My P-07 kit needs a taller front sight. Dawson has them for $39 plus shipping. I would pay the upcharge to have the versality of an adjustable rear sight instead, particularly one as compact as the Shadow 2 version shown in the press release. The adjustable sights on the Kadet kits for the 75 series are different but work well.

Congratulations on your new purchase.
