I got the bango in for my AR-15

Banjo case size: Interior dimensions of 38" x 14" x4"

Windham Weaponry HBC
Length: 36.125” (32.375” with Telestock collapsed)

Collapsed 32.375”

And

Not Collapsed 36.125”

I may put a piece of pool noodle or something over my Red Dot when it is in the case.

It has some padding but could still get a nasty bump.

Might even add some cut out foam later.

I'm planning to add some foam to the mandolin case to better contain the Scorpion. After that, a banjo case for the AR and a ukulele case for the Ruger Charger will add to the band.

Then I'll need a dark suit, hat and shades ... "we're putting the band back together"

Another alternative for those who are living in CA that can’t have collapsible stock is a keyboard soft case.  This also works for the Bren since the Interior dimensions are 42.5" x 7.5" x 15.5".

It's like we've found a treasure trove of inexpensive, discreet gun cases that nobody else knows about.

Not meaning to derail this thread, but I'm using a HEAD double tennis racket bag, that even fits my
16" barrel Steyr AUG. On one side I load the AUG, on the other I've got a 6-cell mag carry pouch with a shoulder strap.

As AUG mags can get very long (especially the 42rd.), I carry a 10rd. in the AUG, not to give anything away, and the AUG will be ready to go.

I would fire 8 or 9 rounds, do a quick mag change to a 30rd. or 42rd. with the AUG.

Getting back to the bag, a tennis racket bag left on the rear seat of a car does not catch too much attention.

Typical tacticool bags do.

Are you Jake or Elwood?  :o 8)

I like these options, very nice! I guess the Chicago Typewriters in violin cases was a precursor of things to come. :D

I bought some of that Kaisen Foam on ebay.  I think it works for protecting extra spare mags, and it is not so needed so much for the firearm itself, unless you are shipping it. Going wild embedding stuff in this foam.  Some of these soft cooler/ice chests might be workable cases too.

That Kaizen foam is pretty cool.  Reminds me of one of my favorite YouTube videos.

One of these days I'm going to make my own Case of Mayhem with my goodies.
