Check to see if your laws are like Minnesota law - "vehicle unless the firearm is unloaded and either (1) fully secured in a gun case expressly made for that purpose, where the case is zipped, snapped, buckled, tied, or otherwise fastened, or (2) in the closed trunk of the motor vehicle. Minnesota law does not require that the gun case be locked."

Doubt anyone would press the issue but...........................
When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

I know we have a few bag/case threads, but since I found this one first...

I have the carbine, and being in CA (no folding stock), I need a somewhat larger bag around 35 to 36 inches.  Anyone try a baseball bat bag, something like this?

36" x 9" x 9" for a little over 30 bucks...  Quite tempted.

Nifty - leave a couple of bats in it, for realism. :) Can you carry it like that legally in CA? Sorry you guys got nailed with some of the dumbest rules in the whole country.  :'(

In CA, when transporting, like to/from the range, the gun must not be loaded, locked in the trunk, or if not in the trunk, locked in something else.  At least that's how I remember it...  If this bat bag has two adjoining zippers, a little lock could be used.  I suppose something I'll need to look at as neither of our current cars have a trunk...

I can help answer the question regarding the locks for the version of the Phitz case that I have (the Banjo--which I use for AR-15). The zippers are able to be locked on mine with this exact lock: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0186QMA2U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Local McSports was going out of buisness. Got two skateboard bags for $4 each. Fits good. Has punky lettering on outside, does not scream gun.

Went to buy another Phitz case, looks like they are barely in business now. Amazon only, minimum selection, no mandolin cases? If the went out of biz I need to find where their overstock went!

Out of Business?

Hell they probably retired to a private villa in France or something.

They probably had a 6000% increase in mandolin case sales!

Still want to keep the case? I'd be interested in purchasing if you'd like to part with it.

Ikea has a bunch of cheap packs and cases - I put mine in Kazzin layered foam and in a small pack from there.

That looks like the ukulele case, and it is a better fit for the pistol version
