New CZ Owner in Tx !! Hello Y'all
« on: April 13, 2017, 05:19:12 PM »
Thanks for having me.

I recently bought a PO9 in 9mm and absolutely love it.
I am wanting to start reloading for it (only rifle experience) and am really excited about starting casting bullets for it which is new to me.

I have read quite a bit about the CZ tight chambers or short leade and would like to know if anyone has experience with the Lee truncated cone or round nose (lube groove/tumble lube) molds, or others that worked good for them, or didn't.

Any advice or direction is greatly appreciated, I'm still in the reading and research phase while I build my components list.

Thanks in advance

Howdy from Houston!

I'm not a reloader so I can't help you. You may want to put a post in the Ammo & Handloading forum.

Welcome from Wichita Falls.

I'm a reloader but don't cast my own. CZ's have a short chamber so you have to load short but I haven't noticed tight match chambers.

I load 147's to 1.100 and was able to load 124's to like 1.135.

Where are you located?

Welcome to our forum.
Full size SIG Sauers, CZ  sport pistols,  and classic collectible USGI 1911s have always been among my favourite guns.
I've been an avid collector and a shooter for decades, and I never stop learning,
After over 38  years of guns-ownership I still enjoy shooting my own reloadings at IDPA ranges at least twice a week.
JMO this is one of the best gun forums among the several I belong to, hope you'll enjoy your time here.

Before you start collecting guns... buy books! Don't collect something that you'll be forever making excuses for, be careful not to get drawn to a piece that is not original, and buy the gun not the story.
