Reach reduction kits
« on: November 08, 2023, 09:10:31 AM »
Hi,
With the reach reduction kits is the whole trigger moved back 5mm or only say the tip of the trigger moved back 5mm? With the curved part being moved back progressively less as you move upwards along the curve of the trigger?
And what causes the reduction; the disconnector , the different trigger, or both?
Thanks,
           Mark

Never measured it, but I have short fingers and have the RRK on my PCR & Rami. I suspect it is a combo of both using the lesser curved trigger and the disconnector. Although not exactly the same perspective or lighting here is my PCR before (left) and after (right). Hope you find this helpful.

The appropriate replacement disconnector alone on a manual safety model will reduce trigger slop. ( e.g. old type shadow 1 disconnector w no firing pin block gun model)
Don't own a decocker so can't opine..

The cgw kits enhance possibilities.

Hi,
So i ended up buying the RRK  with the old style 75/85 trigger for one of my pre-bs. I like it. In DA it's a vast improvement even though I never shoot in DA anyway. My other pre-b has the flat DA/SA trigger and of the two I prefer the old style trigger. With the flatter trigger my finger slides down the trigger and starts dragging on the inside of the trigger guard.
And I think there's a little bit more reach reduction with the old style trigger. It's more concave where the finger touches the trigger. But I like the look the flatter trigger.
