Hello, Just a heads up if you are looking to purchase a Dan Wesson. Do not expect them to do any warranty work. I have 2 friends that spent 1700.00 each on what we thought would be a great 10mm. Well after we cleaned it and took it out the slide will not hold back 70 percent of the time. Called and emailed them and was told it was just us. LMAO  The guy that has it has over 650,000 rounds thru his colt 1911 and we are close to 10,000 thru his wilson so we are not newif  to 1911's.
Also it came with a 16 pound return spring and when he got ahold of the so called gunsmith for Dan Wesson he was told that they has a batch of bad springs and they would replace it when he sent it in. Well now 3 weeks later he got it back with a letter saying there is nothing wrong and they never replaced the spring either..So beware if you want a dan wesson you will likely be on your own!!!

This forum's Dan Wesson section is not as well frequented as the Dan Wesson Forum--you might find more information there.

Did you follow the factory break-in instructions and use the supplied slide lube?

Thanks for the info. We did what they said for breakin and even went above and did a full 500 rounds before he said anything. I think the guy that bought it is over there already.

I really hope that was just someone at DW having a bad day.....never had an issue one with any of the DW's I've owned.....never good to have an experience like that  :-\
