K2-45 decided to get one
« on: May 09, 2017, 12:03:27 AM »
I have (3) 45 acp handguns already, a Colt 1911A1, Para 14-45 and a S&W revolver. They all shoot fantastic!!  I don't really need another gun in that calibur...right?  But, after so many favorable reviews here on the SAR, I decided I did need one more.  CDNN has such a great price ($369) I thought I should get one before they are out of stock.  I called them and the salesman said they had some still in stock, but the pile is getting low.  So it arrived today.  Judging by the seriel number, mine was made in 2016.

The gun appears as described by so many here...well made and well finished.  Shooting will come later this week.  Don't know if its BS, but the indication is that CDNN will run out one of these days, sooner or later.

Congratulations on your new SAR K2-45 and may it serve you well!  :)

If you like the Para Ordnance P14-45, I think you're going to love the SAR K2-45!

Don't feel guilty about having so many handguns chambered in .45 ACP!  I've found they tend to accumulate.
Currently, I have six, counting my SAR K2-45, which came after the pic below was taken. Funny how that happens.

Collection of .45 ACP Caliber Pistols L - R
Taurus 24/7 OSS
1992 EAA Witness
2005 EAA Witness
1917 1911 Custom
Charles Daly 1911 Elite Field Service ( same production as Citadel Tactical )

Congratulations.  CDNN is terrific, it's where I got my K2-45.  I hope you like yours as much as I like mine.  FYI, EAA has ceased to import SAR pistols and CDNN appears to have purchased their stock.  The new importer is supposed to start receiving SAR pistols soon, SAR-USA, but they quoted me $489 at NRA in Atlanta - so you got a good deal for certain.  Don't forget an extra magazine!

I too ordered one while I could. It has been great. A few times the bullet will lodge half way into the chamber but it is either breaking in or a mag is to blame.  But other than that it's great.  There are some decent grips available on ebay.  If you can't find them let me know. They were like $30 and are a bit nicer than stock.

I've seen the $70-100 wood grips but nothing at $30 - what were they like?

I'll be very surprised if you don't like the K245.

I'll be very surprised if you don't love it after you shoot it.

They are plastic.

David makes really good grips.

De nada.  I would say the grips are well made for $30+/-.  The wood ones look very nice as well yet are much more expensive. I ended up buying the faux wood version.

Absolutely love this pistol but unless a way shows up to fit it with an ambidextrous safety, its out of my reach.
Had one and sold it without firing a single round.

I'm a lefty. No need for an ambi safety. The pistol is DA. The half cocked position has a great pull and no issues making a head shot from 10 yards.
