CZ75D or is it?
« on: May 16, 2017, 04:17:36 PM »
I bought an advertised CZ PCR at a Cabela's and the slide clearly say's CZ D Compact.  Now my question is what did I buy?  It shoots great and I tried the Kadet Kit on it and that's very accurate also.  Now is it a PCR or a Compact D?  Thank You!

It's a PCR unless it has a rail or steel frame

Yep!
 you see them occasionally.
MY P-01 has a 75 D compact slide on it as well, but its alloy framed and de-cocker with a rail.

PCR and P01 is marketed for the American market. The 75D with and without rail is marketed for the whole rest of the world. Absolutely no difference.

Unless you find an early model from around 1999, there will not be PCR marked on the slide, just D Compact on the non-railed, alloy frames.

It came in a lockable plastic case. The same as the 75b and P-09.  It say's 75 D Compact on the slide.

I would say if it has the loaded chamber Indicator, decocker and alloy frame, then it's a PCR.

One of the forum members has one with the "MOD. PCR" marking. This is from the Pazdera book. The first decocker alloy compact designs for the Czech police trials did not have the rails. The rails were added during the process thus creating the "P-01" and "PCR" designations for the US export market while still collectively being referred to as "75 D Compact".

The plastic case say's 75D Compact.  There is no rail, but it has a de-cocker and loaded chamber indicator.

Then that is what is commonly known as a PCR.
