Spendy, but not too bad. If I needed a serious BBQ gun, those would be an option (or a set of mammoth ivory grip scales for a 1911 which I believe a friend quoted at $600-700)

Absolutely stunning with those grips.  I just picked up a new CZ 75B in Matte Stainless. By themselves they are pretty guns, you took it to another level.
