I typically take 3.  Which 3 depends on what I feel like shooting that day, but one of my CZs is always in the mix.

I have a friend that shoots with me a couple times every month and for years the only Pistol he owned was a 1911 Ruger .45 . I think he finally just wore it out. Several years back he bought a CZ75 Tactical II ( I think that is what it is ) and now this is his weapon of choice. He told me he really hated giving up the .45 but , at 68 years  old the 9mm is a little easier on his hands.

Anything from one, to as many as six or eight different Guns
If I feel like shooting Semi-Autos, or Revolvers
Hand or Long Guns
.22s or Centerfire Calibers
Am I alone or are there a few others
Each "Range" Trip is different
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what's coming after HIM !

Typical for me is 2-5 pistols for an hour of range time. I might just shoot 2, I might shoot 4 or 5. I like options.

I usually take two; one defensive gun and one just for fun gun.

First I start with Defensive practice with one gun. That could be a shorty shotgun, a CZ DA/SA, or my pocket carry DAO Sig 290rs This is about putting rounds on target(s) quickly. I keep logs for every gun so I keep track of round counts and what ammo works best, mark notes on targets, etc.

So, after I do my 'homework' I shoot one gun for Fun; and that fun gun could be anything from a 22 plinker, to a Ruger S&W or Buckmark shooting 22 HV with optics; to a 1911 RO in 45 to a S&W 627-5 8shot wheel-gun in 357.

I always like to leave the range with a grin.  ;D

I also don't get to the range often enough, so I'll take at least three. If I bring my kids there will be a couple .22 rifles, too. Now that I just picked up a P-09 .22 LR Kadet Kit I'm sure we'll all shoot that one a lot!!!
CZ P-09 Suppressor Ready | CZ P-09 Kadet Kit | CZ 75 Compact w/Rail (i.e., compact SP-01) | CZ 550

I don't think I've ever gone to the range with just one gun.

Me neither.

Nor have I heard anything as ridiculous as "you will never shoot consistently shooting different guns, you should just focus on one." Well, I am focusing on just one - the one I'm shooting!

I always carry two and sometimes three.
The better shooters I know can pick up a strange pistol and make it look like a high quality custom gun.
We had a "Top Shot" match here once,  and I shot a 45 that I had never seen before with better accuracy than my CZ,  but slower.  The Colt carbine was a gimee.  Way fun to do.   8)

Love shooting different ones, allways bring more than one, yet I can get obsessed and either run out of time or ammo!

2 at a minimum...4 max. Only because of cleaning afterward. Not that I don't enjoy that portion of it. It's more about time to do so.
