The Gen-1 is the previous factory CZ P series trigger. The Gen-2 is the new version factory CZ P series trigger. I prefer the Gen-2 profile the Gen-1 irritated my finger.

Edit: There was also another trigger that resembled the black recurve trigger (SP-01/P-01 Factory trigger) in some the the early P series and 75 Omegas

From Schmeky:

He confirms the new trigger will fit the 75B Omega.

Installed my trigger today. It was not a drop in fit. I had to remove some material from the back of the trigger. I had to increase the travel of the trigger as it was hitting the back of the frame, thus not allowing the trigger bar to travel the required distance to trip the sear. A little file and dremel work, along with some cold blue......issue solved. My Omega is from '14, one of the earlier models.

Great REA!   Did you get the gen 2 trigger?   Any chance we could get you to post a pic?

Thanks!

When I placed my order, I did request a Gen 2 trigger. It really wasn't difficult to do. I've fit 1911 triggers in the past, instead of taking material off the top and the bottom, I just took it off the back. I used the original trigger as a template to contour the backside of the new one. I only removed a little material at a time and did a lot of fit checking. I didn't want to remove too much and get a lot of over travel. It's perfect.

Don't have a camera or smart phone so I can't post a picture Chris.

No worries REA.  Thank you for the info!   Should be getting mine back from the 'smith tomorrow.

Well, got my Omega back from the gunsmith today.  He installed the CGW 3 spring kit, firing pin, the P07/P09 trigger and the competition hammer and heavy sear spring.  DA feels great but unfortunately something is wrong with the SA pull.  The trigger goes all the way to the rear intermittently without releasing the sear.   I'm so pissed!

Chris,

From above:
I had to increase the travel of the trigger as it was hitting the back of the frame, thus not allowing the trigger bar to travel the required distance to trip the sear.

Thank you REA.  Sounds like the same problem I'm having.  I passed the info on to my gunsmith.  Hopefully he figures it out.

Yikes, that's unfortunate. In my opinion, for my uses it would not be worth the potential for failure. I can live with the curve. The only real shortcoming I see with the trigger is the absurd reset. Anybody done a cajun gun's reset kit on the 75b omega or p07?

Per David at CGW, the Omega system is very simple and the trigger install is not a big deal.  According to my smith, the problem is solved and I should have my Omega back in the next few days  :)
