Anything left to do?
« on: June 15, 2017, 01:31:37 PM »
So I've done (or had done) the following on my SP-01 Tactical and was wondering if there was anything left to do (other than shoot it  ;D

CGW Pro Package, internals smoothed up by the installer
11.5# hammer spring, 13# recoil
10x bushing
Vortex Viper mounted via Springer Precision adapter

Absolutely my favorite gun to shoot.

Go out to your favorite range, make sure you don't forget the pledge to CZ, then have fun!  O0

Lucky me gets to walk out the back door and start shooting  :)

Down side to living in the sticks is that there are no competitions anywhere I'd consider close.

Might be able to find a class around here somewhere.

1900 flawless rounds  through it so far.

I've been thinking about this, right now I don't want the downtime to send it in and wait  :'(

Another 200 rounds yesterday and nothing but smiles afterwards.

Enjoy this pistol every chance I get to shoot it. 150 rds at the range today getting the red dot dialed in. Pic of the best group of the day. 17 rounds at 10yds using one of the plastic V-type pistol rests.

What Ammo are you using?

I ordered some CGW stuff for my SP01 safety model and installed a 85c trigger, reduced trigger spring and 11.5 hammer spring and also got an amazing 6 lbs range DA.

This is my first CZ and wondered if I would have reliable ignition with factory commercial Ammo.

Waiting on a .035" Allen wrench as I traded sights with a co-worker and the front sight has that screw loctited in.... or I would have already test fired.

Still using the factory recoil spring and plastic guide rod and have a 13 lbs hammer spring just in case

This last session was Magtech, but I've shot pretty much all the cheap stuff (Blazer, Independence, whatever Sportsman Guide has on sale..) along with some higher priced stuff and have had zero misfires, even before the extended firing pin install, although I didn't use the 11.5# spring until after the extended install.

Ok, I still have the factory FP. Might have to bump up springs or buy a Extended firing pin.

Thanks for the info

nickshawn,

Fantastic shooting!  I tell customers frequently that once you have a CZ (that shoots elongated one hole groups) like yours, it builds incredible confidence in the shooter.   This makes you challenge yourself, trying newer, harder shots = an even better shooter.

We used to shoot at fired shotgun hulls at 20 - 30 yards, trying to hit the brass base.  You can do this more often than you think with a CZ like yours.  When you hit the brass, the hull goes flying like a rocket . .  . tremendous fun.
