My understanding is that there are essentially 3 manufacturers of double-stack 1911/2011 receivers.
The Dan Wesson Elite series uses the Caspian frames (I am told). And STI uses their own receiver + polymer grip.
I have read a number of times that the STI grips are more comfortable than the Caspian or the other double-stack 1911 receiver manufacturer that Para used -- BUL, I think.
Has anyone here handled a Dan Wesson Elite series double-stack frame AND an STI frame and can comment on the difference? I am just looking for opinions. No science required.
