Roll pin punches and a starter punch are typically great tools for gunsmithing any gun. You can get a nice set from Brownells or Amazon for about $60

All of my punches I use on weapons are Grace punches.  Not that expensive and work well.

Crap! I thought I pasted a link in here. Anyway, these are the punches I use. Tekton, they are pretty nice and made in the USA. They're about $40 for the set.

You really just need a 1/8th inch pin punch to punch the roll pin out of the shoe (when attached to the sear) and then you should be able to seat the roll pin in the hole of the new shoe with your fingers, tap it a couple times with an armors hammer and then use something flat to drive it home. Just make sure the shoe is sitting on something hard and non-marring. I have delrin blocks cut out for assembling shoes and doing trigger jobs but a small piece of wood (1x2) would work. I don't think you need to go out and buy an entire set up punches and roll pin starters just to do this one trigger shoe, but if you don't have them already and it's something you might use over and over again then this is perfect excuse to pick some up.

Let me know if you need help, I have some experience in this department LOL

I've got a lot of  punch pin sets, but in a pinch drill bits have served me as well. Just tossing it out there.

Agreed, It's not for everyday. Also I would never do any bill hilly tool use on another's gun or with another's tools. ;)
