I was looking at this stuff:

Says 900fps but doesn't specify barrel length. I've got a standard evo pistol. Anybody had luck with a good defense round staying subsonic?

Regular American Eagle 147gr FMJ rated at 1000 fps at the muzzle stays subsonic out of my pistol. I have not run any heavy defensive rounds through my Evo at this point. I will say I have no experience with Atomic ammo, but I'm not sure about their claims of being both subsonic and +P.

I've run 124gr HP (Freedom Munitions @1060 fps) Underwood Extreme Defense @1470fps, through my SBR'd EVO with a Gemtech can. They obviously aren't Sub sonic but they were accurate as all get out. I have run Freedom "HUSH" ammo (range ammo) 147 gr @870fps & they were VERY quiet, but I found them to be less accurate. 3" groups at 75ft as apposed to 1.25" groups for the Defense ammo. My normal 147grn fmj round nose were more accurate than the "HUSH" as well.
