Greetings from Central Texas
« on: July 15, 2017, 11:09:19 PM »
Howdy! While I am definitely not new to firearms, I am new to CZ Firearms. I just purchased a used CZ 75B from an online dealer after reading reviews about the various CZ pistols, I thought I would start out with this one. Just waiting to get it to my friend who has his FFL. Since he is a gunsmith, he is going to refinish it for me as it is a bit rough on the outside. Soon as I get it in, I will post picts! I will also be searching the forum here for all the tips and tricks for this pistol!

Keep the powder dry and watch your 6!

Welcome from Houston!

If you're looking for more CZs, look for Sparks at your local gun show--I've seen them have a dozen or more at the Saxet shows.

AJC in Clute also carries a fair amount, but they only do shows around the Houston area.

Welcome from South Texas.  I started with P09 then jus had to get the P07 which led to SP01 Tactical.  You will be on your second CZ soon enough!

Welcome to our forum from Northern Italy.

Classic  collectible  "vintage USGI 1911s",  full size "SIG Sauers"  and  "CZ" sport pistols   have always been among my favourite guns.
For the range I have mainly owned  1911s, CZs, and half a dozen  SIG Sauers;    great guns especially older German-proofed ones, the SIG Sauer P226 to me is probably the most reliable pistol that I have owned in over 38 years of shooting handguns.
I collected for years,   then I realized that an ever-taller pile of guns made my life no happier, so  I decided to take a hiatus from it,  I started to thin my collection and decided to enjoy more what I had.
So no more new guns for a while,  I'm going to keep my small collection of 1911s,  and  for the range I'll reserve mainly the P226s and the Shadow 2.
After more than 38 years of guns-ownership and reloading my own ammunition,   I still enjoy shooting  at the range twice a week.
JMO this is one of the best gun forums among the several I belong to, to me it's quite a learning experience, I hope you'll enjoy your time here.

Life is good.

My pistol just got to my FFL/gunsmith.It has some minor pitting and holster wear, but it should clean up nicely. Since this was a Buds Guns surplus sale and advertised as a 75B, I was shocked to see that it is actually a CZ 75BD Police that I received. I was actually wanting the BD, so it worked out great!

** CENTRAL TEXAS CZ ALERT **

Sparks Firearms just posted to Facebook that they'll be at the SAXET show in Corpus Christi (actually Robstown just north of CC) this weekend with "From a CZ Phantom 2 and Shadows; a brand new model Sig Sauer 220 Legion in 45 ACP..."

I wrote them to ask if they meant Shadow 2, not Phantom 2.  After all it is a 4 hour drive there from Houston...
