Is or can a CZ 527 Lux be free floated?
« on: July 28, 2017, 06:25:58 PM »
I read somewhere that the Lux series has a single action screw and a barrel attach screw.  As opposed to the dual action screws of other models. I failed to bookmark and can't find it again.  It might have been a 452 or maybe a 527 or both!  I'm researching both in LH thus the 452 line of enquiry.

The 452's in 22lr and 17HM2 have 1 action, and one barrel lug, screw.

In 17 HMR and 22 WMR they have 2 action screws.

Don't think the 527's are the same, but I don't have a 527 lux.
I had the right to remain silent...

but not the ability.

I think the Lux shares the same receiver and bottom metal as the other versions of the 527, the LUX just being the Bavarian stocked version.  That said they should be like my older Prestige and newer American versions and have two screws holding the action, on the rear tang, the other at the bottom of the front ring,   I don't see why a 527 could not be free floated, although just thinking, my American that I just received seems to have some clearance on the sides of the barrel.  I cannot look now as I have
company in the house and they are put up.

Thanks, I have a 527 American that is free floated.  Thanks for the 452 info.  It is interesting that there are two configurations depending on caliber.

My 527 Lux LH has two action screws and is not free floated.  I'll remedy that soon.
