I have a DW A2 Commander, Heritage and CCO as well as a CZ 1911A1 and of all of them, I'd say it's the Heritage that I like shooting the most.  The CZ 1911A1 is a close second and the CCO third.  Still warming to the A2 though.

Nice assortment, what's the reason the Heritage takes the top spot?

I would have to say the Valor. I just like the full size version and I like it's clean lines. This one is mine. It's my first 1911.

The configuration coupled with the feel.  The CZ 1911 has a short trigger where as the Heritage has a medium length trigger.  The medium fits me better and coupled with the beaver tail grip safety, it's just a notch above the CZ to shoot.  The CCO is a great shooter, but being an officer sized pistol, is not as much fun to shoot as the full size 1911s.  The A2 is new to the collection and I have not bonded with it yet, but it's tight and accurate.  I'm not as much a fan of the matte blue finish on it as I am the black finish on the CZ.  That may change as it develops its own patina though.

For me it?s my new Specialist Commander. It exudes quality. Shoots bleep well too , not sure I can have it shoot to it?s potential with my skill level :D

That being said, since it?s my only DW, it?s my favorite. Will say it?s heads and shoulders above the S&W and SIG 1911s I have.

I told my daughter she's "my favorite daughter"......she says "I'm your only daughter"......I said, "so you should feel good your my favorite then, imagine if I didn't have a favorite"......she said "good point"   ;D

Thought there would be more folks representing their DW's  ;D   One thing I like about all the DW's is the lack of printing on the guns, less is more.....lets you really just appreciate the lines on the gun.  Wish more manufacturers followed this premise.

But how else would I know the gun may fire w/out its magazine, or that I need to read the manual  ;D

Agree fully, less verbiage on the gun the better- serial number, caliber and place of manufacture is about all that?s needed

I've had a few DW 1911s, and my favorites are SSC and Marksman 40 (essentially a stainless Valor in .40 s&w from the custom shop). Both are wicked tight and accurate. I use them mostly for USPSA. It seems like 40 is not as popular as it once was, but I am set up for reloading and really like the performance of my current load for action pistol sports. It's kind of cool to have an uncommon DW caliber too.

It's either my specialist, my guardian or my eco 9mm.  Hard to decide between them.

No Valkyrie lovers yet so I?ll join in. I have 2 (9mm and .45) and love them both. I EDC the 9mm and think the hybrid Officer/Commander configuration makes a fantastic carry piece, and certainly my favorites to shoot overall. The Valkyries both handle recoil better than contemporary compact 1911s like a Kimber or Colt, and also better than many of their Poly/striker competitors for EDC (certainly better than my G19 or VP9SK which are both pretty easy on recoil for 9mm). Duty finish and the slim grips top it all off for me!
