BRAND NEW CZ FORUM MEMBER
« on: August 20, 2017, 02:45:28 AM »
I'm so excited to be a member of the Original CZ Forum, I just peed myself.
My wife says it has more to do with my age.

Thank you! I'm glad to be here. Hell, at my age, I'm glad to be anywhere.
My father used to be a big shot.   You might say, I'm a son of a gun. (BRA-RUMP-BUMP)!
It seems like only yesterday, I was just a little BB.

I may be in the wrong forum. I thought CZ was a new sedative that enabled you to sleep with your eyes opened.

But all seriousness aside, I just purchased my first pistol, a CZ 75 SP-01.

My friends shamed me into it, as my previous hand guns were 6 shooters.
My friends tell me that if you use the word "REVOLVER" in today's world, people think you're talking about an early Beatle's album.

I'll be here all week. Don't forget to tip your waitresses.

The answer to 1984 is 1776.

My Response:

I just read your post. At first I was appalled, thinking that you would waste time texting me
while your Mother was Having an Aneurism. Then I realized MHA must stand for something else.

In response to your question, the full sized CZ 75 SP-01 was not my first choice. However, in the People's Republic of Calif. it's not a matter of purchasing the pistol that best suits your needs. It's a matter of selecting a firearm from the dwindling list of Calif. Approved firearms.

But in the spirit of fairness, I must admit that the progressive, gun-phobic, open-border, tax-and-spend, race-baiting, blame America first, control-freak, Christian bashing, U.S. Constitution be damned, sociopathic politicians that run Calif. are totally O.K. with their citizens purchasing muskets.

Just as long as they don't have modifications such as a collapsible stock or a forward vertical hand grip, which would transform them into an ASSAULT MUSKET.

You would do well here in Texas.

My Response:

Thank you for the welcome… and invitation.
Ya got a spare bedroom?

My dearest friend, in the entire world, lives in Texas.
Well, he may not be my dearest friend. Actually, he’s just an acquaintance.
Now that I think of it, he’s not even that.
More like someone I hate.
In fact, I not only hate HIM. I despise the very air he breathes!

See what I did there?

All silliness aside, my two brothers lived in Dallas since the 70’s.
One, finally got tired of the congestion and, around 2000, moved to Plano.
Plano has since become America’s fastest growing city. Everywhere you look, there are buildings going up. I’m thinking, he might as well have stayed in Dallas.

I would have moved to Texas many years ago, except for two things:
the HEAT
the HUMIDITY

For decades, I have lived in the fog cooled Central Coast of Calif. No mosquitoes, no gnats, and damn few flies. Weather wise, and scenically, it’s heaven on earth. Aside from the outrageous cost of living, the price you pay for living here more than ten years is, it turns you into a WEATHER WHIMP.

When the temperature rises above 75 degrees, we start writing suicide notes!

Bottom line, I could not survive Texas. Besides, somebody has to stay here and keep an eye on the progressive, Marxist wackadoodles.

P. S. Nancy Pelosi says hello.

I liked the 1776 and snakeye post and comments.  I felt okay except for the "P. S. Nancy Pelosi says hello but I am laughing now.  I like Brian Dillon, Ph.D. who lives in California and he is a writer and an instructor.  You might see is name in Blue Press. He told me that we could be brothers--maybe because we each had a relative in the Civil War. We are instructors of different types.  I had relatives in a 1700+ war.  I am a military vet. I spent some time visiting California for a computer systems engineering school with costs and expenses paid for by a computer vendor company but I also was sent to New Jersey for a month for technical training and free food.
