Industry calls it a lo-mount cut. Novak name is a trademark.
Heinie cut is different from the lo-mount dovetail.
Rami rear is not the same.
The Rami can be milled for a lo-mount cut.
Hope that helps.
Yes that does help -- a lot! Wish I'd known that a long time ago...
Now that I know your Low Mount cut is the same as a Novak (and can be cut into a Rami) that opens up dozens more possible sights to be used instead of those lousy, detestable Meprolight sights I've got on there now.
Thanks!
Heinie lo mount cut into a RAMI
I'd love to have a set of truglo sights on my rami. Will this work if I get the low cut? Additionally, I had to drift my sights noticeably to the right. Its not horrible, but I wonder why this particular pistol shot almost 5 inches left of center out of the box. This is the first firearm that I've had this issue. The stock sights are really crappy, but it is impossible to find sights that fit. Thanks for any replies.
