3yrs of regret finally over
« on: August 31, 2017, 10:08:29 PM »
A little over 3yrs ago I traded a CZ 52 with 2 mags, holster, and cleaning rod for a S&W 10-4. I originally got the 52 from a trade from a Taurus 357 6in that I traded a chinese SKS for which I paid 225 at a gun show. I have since traded that 10-4 for a 6906 to a 38 LCR and into a 1978 yugo 59/66 sks with practice grenade.

In those 3yrs after I traded that CZ52 I got a 1986 Pre B 75 which is the year of my birth and a thing of family history as some of my ancestors came from Bohemia which eventually became as we all know the Czech Rep. It also started my drive to really collect CZ firearms especially those of older vintage. I also got a 2000 surplus CZ85, vz2008, and Cz70.

I was really wanting a 1986 CZ 82 and went about bidding on GB with no luck. I started to think about the 52 and how I missed that thing. Well I finally got one back in my collection today and couldn't be happier.

I paid 315 plus 20 FFL transfer for a CzechPoint 1953 import. It came with wood grips, original grips, holster, cleaning rod, manual, lanyard, spare parts such as safety, firing pin, slide release, rollers, and several others. The only bad was it came with 1 mag, but I just ordered 5 mags from CzechPoint for $82.

I had to sell a 10/22 in order to buy as my wife said I get 1 gun buy a year, but she said you can sell to buy others if you wish. I figure since 10/22's will be around for a while might as well get something I let go and won't be made anymore.

That's an interesting store. I've been eyeing these lately. There's a couple for sale locally that I might check out.
