P-10C Mag Release concept?
« on: September 01, 2017, 01:30:12 PM »
So one minor annoyance I have when shooting the P-10C is the way I can feel the top edge of the mag release under my support hand.  I feel like I might accidentally activate the button.  It hasn't happened yet with the stock spring, though it did happen twice when I swapped the mag button spring with a lighter one.  Anyways, I was thinking about milling a chamfer so my palm won't have a hard edge to press on.  Here's a concept pic.  I'm waiting to hear back from a few places to see if they'll accept the part for black nitride before I chuck it in my mill.  Thoughts?

I like it.

Thus far I've not been cognizant of it but you have enough material on it such as to not jeopardize the function.

Earlan, did you file the little fang behind the trigger? It is the one that "touching" the inner side of the frame above the trigger. I thought yours is okay with spring 4.5 and beyond. Thx in advance.

Yes but nowhere near as much as in the above photo.  That's a stock picture from CZs website that I photoshopped.  Just replaced my black P-10s trigger with the flat one from HBI. I have a 5# Glock striker spring in my black one and the stock spring in my FDE.  Both measure 5 pounds though.

Played with the vertical mill today.  First cut at 45 degrees to match the checkering.  Then a 30 degree bevel.  Now to test and re-finish.

Black nitride.  Gonna send it to JagerWerks with my 2nd P10 slide once my first one comes back.
