Kadet kit carry case
« on: September 02, 2017, 03:03:04 PM »
Hi all,

Looking for the most streamlined hard carry case for a 75B, Kadet kit, and 4 mags.  Would like something TSA is happy with.

Thanks!

Not sure about TSA, but I am happily using those cases https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008KNQHJM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s01?ie=UTF8&th=1

Holds one or two pistols in one side, 8 magz or Kadet kits (i carry two) in the other side with fewer magazines and small thing like sight adjustment, extra slide stops etc.. in the middle divider pockets.

I do like those, and loved VT before their prices jumped, very much an underrated product then.

I should have mentioned I'm looking for a hard case.  I want to avoid using trigger/action locks when traveling.

Something Pelican like, just all the ones I can handle in shops are 2-4x larger than I need.

Thanks!

Lockable aluminum cases from Harbor Freight Tools? Cut your own inside foam to organize.
I use one for carrying my free pistols to the range.

TSA approved Hard Case by MTM
https://www.amazon.com/MTM-Pistol-Handgun-8-5-Inch-Revolver/dp/B0013RD6OG

I have several, and they work well for me
They are available almost everywhere
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what's coming after HIM !

Cool, the size smaller than this (the single gun case) looks about right.  Still will have to get it online, no one locally has one.

The pelican 1170 is about the right size on paper, and a bit smaller than the mtm case, but 3 x the cost too...

Thanks!

The Pelican case is a lot stronger than the MTM.

Wound up getting the Pelican.  I wish it was 1" wider.  As is, it fits gun, extra slide assembly, extra barrel/spring, and two mags.  Another inch of width and I could squeeze in two more mags.

But I like the compact size, fits nicely in my other bags, and is sturdy.

Thanks all!
