It made me realize that many of our members are either directly in the storm's path, or due to be indirectly affected. I hope you all are hunkered down safe and sound and ready to .

While the eye this morning is still over Tampa, I see that the radar is indicating that rain, wind, and other severe weather also cover the entire state of Georgia. This is one colossal storm !

I'm in the far NE corner of GA and the forecast for today is sustained 50 mph winds, starting just after sunrise.

Well, this PM I'm helping out at my church's sever weather shelter. It's just me and the director, but I still might be in trouble. A local restaurant brought by a commercial sized tray of banana pudding !!

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by these natural disasters as well as those who were affected by 9/11 which seems to have gotten little more than an honorable mention this year.

Power, internet and phone was out for 4 days just on the strength of the wind here. It never rained that much, but big trees were down everywhere popping wires and blocking roads. Four on my property alone, but thankfully none hit the house or shop.
