Jimjc, welcome to the addiction! The P-07 is a great value and to me, far better than any overpriced HK. Had several different LEM models which didn't impress me at all so they found new homes fast. I prefer a real DAO .

I'm with you concerning the P-10 C over Glock, which has never really "fit" me without having major grip mods. All I need for my P-10 C is some night sights and I'm set. But it will probably still fit in behind my CZ 100 in the EDC rotation. Blasphemy, I know!!!

Keep us updated on your new found love interests and future additions to the family.

I do think the HK's are overpriced but their new guns are coming down and even their older guns are being reduced. I still like my HK USP ( which I no longer have ) it was a tank that ran flawlessly but always too big of a grip as it turned out. If it had grip inserts for a size reduction I may very still have one, it's a great gun.

I'm not familiar with the CZ100, is it like the Canik or Tristar or does CZ have a CZ 100?

Jim, the CZ 100 was CZ's first striker-fire pistol, made from 1995-2006. 8 1/2# true DAO, 9mm versions were 13+1 (10+1 during mag cap ban years), and the .40 was 10+1. Very slim grip and ergonomic, just that MOST hate the trigger pull. But not me!

Here's one of mine beside my P-10 C.

That's the first I've seen it, it's a nice looking gun. I'm not a cz historian haha but I'll be getting to know them in the future. So the trigger is a bit heavy, for defense that's not a bad idea though. It looks to be a bit smaller than the p10. Thanks

Thanks! The trigger isn't heavy to me but, that's a different story for another time LOL. Here are a few more pictures of it beside the P-10 C, and an old set of pictures next to my P-07:

You know it looks like a cousin of the P07, I like it. Have you shot it much?

Have I shot it much? Considering how little I'm able to get to the range due to work, oh yeah! Like I said, it's my #1, followed by my DAO-converted P-07, though once I put the P-10 C through it's paces it may take #2.

For years I've meant to get a CZ but I'd left the 1911 for lighter guns and all CZ's full sized guns are heavy.
Some years back I tried to find a P01 without success, they were tough to find then.

Fast forward to today I purchased a P10c and love it, it runs smooth and strong. The after reading so many good reviews about the P07 and with the good feelings about the P10c I decided to purchase a P07 at a show this weekend, I found one and it came home with me.

So I boned up on the YOUTUBE videos and handled it for 2 days and I really like it a lot. It fits me perfectly has the safety and the decocker, I like having the choice.

The P10c is a upgrade to the Glocks I've owned and I like the P07 better than my HK P2000 especially when you take the price difference and the stock Omega trigger.

So what's left, I've decided to get a P01 urban gray with the Omega trigger like the P07 and maybe a SP01 Tactical in urban gray for the range.

So there you have it I'm going to be a CZ advocate into the future.
Congratulations! You're on the right path my friend :)

Congrats on the P 07. It was my second CZ, and my first, and most likely only, plastic pistol. I have the older "Duty" model. It's easily the most ergonomic and accurate plastic double stack I've ever shot. I swapped out the decocker for the thumb safety, I just don't like DA at all. It's one of my favorite range toys. It's always satisfying watching the Tacticool crowd put holes all over their targets while I shoot the bulls eye out of mine. Been thinking lately about sending it off to CGW for a little magic...

Why don't you perform all the magic yourself there's plenty of information videos and threads on the Forum to do that.

Indeed, and it's very gratifying.

I LOVE taking a new pistol and shooting it from a rest to see how it groups.  Then tinker a little and try it again.  When those groups shrink, you know you've done some good.
