Not really a P01, but a 75 Compact steel with rail and safety (99021)

which grips are mounted?
I ordered the grips thru Amazon. They're made in Thailand. Not bad for 50 bucks. Good checkering.

My newest (the black P01 Omega) with my first P01 (Urban Gray model).

I suspect the new P01 will become my EDC for road trips when my wife goes with me and for around the property when doing yard work, walking the dogs, working in/around the garage, etc.  The CZ 85 Compact/clone needs the trigger guard rounded off and then sent off to be refinished with a more durable coating than the polycoat.  I've touched it up with Brownells Oxpho Blue and couple of times and those spots just wear shiny again in a few days.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Here's a photo of a Compact  I had some years ago.  I've got another photo of it with an extended slide release installed, but without the pretty grips.

It was a very nice gun, but I found the steel-framed CZs so close to the full-size CZs (in weight) that I eventually traded it away (for a 97B)!  It was a gorgeous gun and I keep photos of it because of it's great looks.

Walt, I bought my wife a used (still in the box with all the papers, cleaning stuff, snap caps, etc.) satin nickel Compact several years ago.  We both found the grip so slick I put some skateboard tape on the front of the frame to help us hold onto it.  When I got my Urban Gray P01 it had the soft rubber grips on it and it felt so good in the hand that we ordered a set for the satin nickel pistol and with those on had no need for the grip tape.

The problem with the satin nickel Compact was that she shot my new Compact one day and it shot better groups than the pretty/fancy Compact and she stopped shooting the pretty gun.

Those satin nickel Compacts are sharp looking little guns.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

The other photo I have of that same gun, with the extended slide release (from an EAA CZ-pattern gun) AND with the factory soft rubber grips.  I prefer those grips to just about anything that's available for CZs.  (That's what I have on my 85 Combat...)

I traded the gun, but wish I had kept the extended slide release.  I haven't seen one since then.

Got some ?new? VZ grips that are smoother than the LOK grips. Not sure how I feel about them yet... Almost too smooth.
