Can't go wrong with a Glock  20 or 29 although I prefer the 20.

Thanks everyone for the help and input!

You are correct. I have a Lonewolf muzzle break. It looks like it should be on  Marvin the Martian ' s ray gun.

Is it for 10mm? How does it do with recoil reduction?

Just got a G40 MOS Blue Label gun.  Really wanted the 6 inch barrel and the platform to try out a red dot.  I did sell off my G20.  Since I reload (why have a .40) this gun should keep me busy for the winter.

Yes it's for a 10mm. Does great for recoil reduction, but extremely loud.

Good to know, thanks!

Now you can get a  KKM barrel for better chamber support and a better chamber. Guys on the 10mm forum report around 100 fps increase from stock glock barrels to KKM for 10mm. Then you can get a 9x25 Dillon barrel too! That's true 357 Magnum muzzle energy, at least in all Underwood loadings.

I'm not a Glock fan at all, quite the opposite. That said, 10mm and Glock go together like peanut butter and chocolate. I'd love to try a polymer framed Witness in 10mm to compare.

I own a Glock 29 Gen 4 and it's great little gun. Added the a set Tru Glo TFX Tritium Fiber Optic Sights Green/Green, a 3.5# Ghost Disconnector and changed out the springs for a crisp 3.5# trigger pull. In my opinion, it's the perfect 10mm compact size gun.
