Looks to be built on the CZ 75 40S&W platform........I've looked at those on CZC's site, tempting but stayed strong.  I've had 357Sig firearms in the past, liked the round a lot......let us know how the range trip went....curious to know  :)

congrats!
great cartridge.
wonder IF a 10 MM is not far behind?
Now that would be my ticket!
as the 357 Sig operates at a higher pressure than the 10 MM then I don't see why not?
have to ponder on that I guess?

I have a 75B in 40 that I have bought a 357 Sig barrel for. I love it. Very accurate and very controllable. I like speed out of the 357 sig, so I shoot 90 and 95 gr bullets at over 1500 fps. When it hits, ooooh, like a small thermal nuclear device going off.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts. A 10mm CZ with a 9x25 Dillon barrel is my dream!

That is a nice pistol! Almost went for one a while back when they first became available , but they also had their modified 75 SA in .40 in stock at the time (the one that included a 9mm barrel conversion) .....went for that one instead. Looking forward to your range report.

So today I put about 200 rounds through this pistol.

I have shot this round a great deal in my Glock which was my EDC for a long time.

I have probably shot nearly 3,000 rounds of 357 SIG, so I feel like I have some good experience with the round.

I really enjoyed my Glock, the rise of this round is pretty dramatic, somewhat difficult for second shot acquisition with this round, especially in a light pistol like a Glock.

At one point to eliminate some of the rise i put an extended slotted barrel on it.
That was effective, but it was still a tough round to control in a defensive or tactical posture IMO.

This pistol is pretty heavy so i expected far less recoil and muzzle rise.

The recoil was about the same, the muzzle rise was pretty evident, less than the Glock but it was noticeable.

A bit tough to get second shot acquisition.

The trigger was amazing, but I expected that from CZC.

The gun felt awesome, ergonomically for me with very large hands it felt great, thick heavy and stuck like glue.

I really think this is a great round, I really want to love it and use it for EDC, but its just too bleep much for follow up shots on target.

With a 9mm I can group 10 shots at 12 yards about 3" and get them off lightning fast.

With 357 Sig if i want the same group it literally takes me twice as long to shoot.

So, all in all it is an incredible pistol, CZC does amazing work and i am thrilled to have this in my collection.

I do feel however that it will get dusty.

I hope this rant made sense.

Thanks for sharing!

And to think I was a 9x25 Dillon barrel for my Witness Hunter... I think I need a full on compensator for that round.

Nice gun, nice report. Now if only CZ mass-produced a .357sig gun. If only....

So as I was thinking about the CZ 357 from yesterday and comparing it to my Glock again in my mind it dawned on me that probably the easiest shooting 357 SIG pistol I have is the SIG LEGION.

The GLOCK was far too light, and IMO a bit small even with extended mag and while it felt nice ergonomically, the CZ felt better.

The LEGION however was the superior gun of the three.

It is as heavy if not more than the CZ.

It has as nice a trigger on it, as nice as the CZ trigger from CZC.

The recoil is actually more manageable, I might even say substantially more.

The overall size and feel for me personally was better.

So in conclusion, for this round I rate the LEGION at the top of the pile, CZ second place and GLOCK in third.

If anyone has experiences with other 357 SIG pistols I would love to hear about it.

Thanks

I would sign up on a 10mm conversion list.
