75B SAO
« on: October 23, 2017, 11:09:40 AM »
I have a 75 B that I'm shooting ESP in IDPA. Would like to to run it SAO. Was looking at the pro package, but also saw where guys were running SAO. Recommendations on parts would be much appreciated.

My first CZ was a 75B .40S&W that I sent to CGW to completely "Cajunize" including the Pro Package, removal of all firing pin blocks, and conversion to SAO.......it is one of the best shooting pistols I own and the trigger breaks cleanly at about 3#s.  I initially had the straight trigger installed but now have the 5SAO trigger as the slight curve reminds me of the triggers on my 1911s.  I had them do the same with my 97B when I sent it in for the E Conversion and that single action trigger is outstanding as well.

This trigger: https://cajungunworks.com/product/5sao-single-action-aluminum-trigger/ and whatever parts are needed to convert from SA/DA to SAO.  CGW did all the work .......I just shoot it  :) :).

I have a copy of the build sheet if you are interested.  Full package with SAO conversion.

I just recently converted a Buds special 75B to SAO with a bunch of CGW parts:

There are some parts in the pro package that you don't need for SAO. Disconnector and short reset kit I think is most of what you don't need. My parts totaled about 250. With this setup (in that thread ^^^) my trigger rivals my 1911 trigger in terms of pull weight, creep, reset. I would say the hammer and the trigger make the most difference.

I also ordered the curved tip trigger and like it very much. One other thing I would recommend is removing the firing pin block if it is a range/competition gun.

If you are looking to save about $50 more, you could skip the extended firing pin and stick with one of the stronger (or stock) hammersprings.
