What's the difference with this one?
http://www.covecreekoutfitters.com/gun-room/sig-sauer-p226-x6-x-six-level-1-9mm-mastershop

The description says that is a "level 1". No idea how many levels they have.

I’ll post a pic of mine in am so all can see the obvious differences.

But here are some others:

That pistol in the link at Cover Creek is a gen 1and hasn’t been for sale for a while.

The X6 is a gen 2.

The trigger is adjustable 3 ways, some of the parts are skeletonized, the gen 2are PPC pistols, the barrels are made differently in that the material and rifling are different.  They are also made in Germany for what that’s worth.

The list of parts polished is seemingly endless as well on this level gun.

They are basically competition ready out of the box.

I will detail more when I get to my office tomorrow.

Having both generations of Guns I can say the physical differences are evident and as tolerances are even more obvious.

The gen 2 pistol is head and shoulders above the gen 1.

I hope some of that helps.

So you can buy a Sig Sauer X6 for $2,600 but if it's a mastershop it's 7100 ?
What do they do to make it 4500.00 more.

The X-series and Mastershop pistols, excluding the P320 X-5, are only made in Germany. Sig is not allowed to export to the US currently due to some legal issues. In order to secure these pistols, domestic retailers or enterprising individuals with German connections purchase them from German retailers at full German MSRP, including VAT. While Sig cannot export, individuals and retailers can. These retailers or individuals place orders and wait until the gun is produced, because even though they are available in Germany, they aren’t exactly common. The export/import process adds additional time and expense.

When the gun has finally been imported to the US, it is posted on Gunbroker, where demand drives the price up 2-4x MSRP.

If you’re interested in buying one of these rare pieces directly from Germany, make sure you have the funds available. Most German businesses do not accept credit cards.

Gun broker is not the place to purchase these pistols.  I am friendly with an import/export gentleman from a town in Germany and that is how I acquire mine.
The VAT does increase the price, but to say 2-4 x MSRP is a big over estimation.

I have purchased 5-6 High Line Mastership pistols, all very hard to find here, or there for that matter, thus the high price.

In addition, they are some of the finest, most well  made pistols I have ever handled.

Just pick one up and rack the slide to hear/feel the tolerances.

As Ferris Buller said:

if you have the  means, i highly recommend picking one up.  :)

Oh sure, rub it in! LOL
If Muhammad (or Hodji?) down at the 7/11 would sell me the winning lottery ticket - that wouldn't be a problem.
But until then, I'll just have to wishing I could buy nice stuff like that.

Keep posting pics of nice things.  It gives the rest of us something to lust after!

But of course I was trying to be funny!!!

I figure all us old-ish guys remember Ferris.

Listen, it really is a sweet line of pistols.

I have a very understanding woman at home, and am very lucky.

I buy Guns, she buys purses.

If you think pistols are pricey, stay out of the Louis Vuitton store.

Shouldn't be that much heavier than a Shadow 2.

Feels substantially heavier.
