Thoughts on Apex
« on: November 13, 2017, 03:45:20 PM »
After running some PCC yesterday I couldn't help but feel the need to change up the grip angle... got a great deal on the Apex, so here it is...

What is everyone else's opinion on the Apex, vs others such as Yeti Wurks?

I wanted to try it but at $22 shipped vs $50 + shipping I had to go with the Apex... Ill say this, the front of the grip is super aggressive... Ill be trying it out on Sunday.

I like the Apex angle but I find it's too small for XL gloved hands. I put a rubber Hogue hand-all over it, and it's been fine.

Did the exact same thing, and really like the feel now as well as the grip angle.

Another large handed guy who isn't crazy about it.  I bought one because the angle was much better but couldn't afford the Switchback.  In hindsight, I would have been money ahead if I had just gone with the Yeti Wurks.

I've tried everything but the Apex thus far. Just recently went back to the Switchback and barring anything else hitting the market (Mapul anyone???) that's where i'll be staying.

The Apex looks to thin to me and might be better for those with smaller hands.

ETA: The Yeti is worth the money imho.

I've got smaller hands, so I purposely chose the Apex.

Only thing I dislike about it is how aggressive the front stippling is. It almost hurts when I hold it.

Paske pathfinder sucked it just feels like it was made too fit a different gun..., apex way too scrawny, yeti too bleep expensive but is the best of the 3  :-X.

Switchback with the curved back strap is good for me. Apex looks way to thin, but I wear 2x gloves.

I have small hands, and yes, still felt it to feel smaller, but will run it to give it a chance, if its a no go, only cost $22 :)

I like my Apex. The angle is a big improvement over stock. I had originally thought it could be a bit thicker, but have found it fine in actual use. The front strap texturing might be a little aggressive for some, but I'm using the included grip tape on mine and like the added grip.

The Yeti was too square for my taste. I really like the Apex. I wasn't sure about the skateboard tape, but gave it a try and really like that setup.

Pathfinder works best for my hands. Good angle and larger for my hands.
