There is some variation in the triggers as they come from the factory. Lots of people are happy with theirs as it comes out of the box. I have three P series pistols. Of the three, my own P-07 single action trigger pull was pretty rough, so I put in a CGW hammer and it cleared right up. I think mine was as bad as it gets, however. On the P-09's, the factory triggers weren't bad at all, but I changed out the parts as soon as CGW had them available, just as an experiment, not that I HAD to have them. Golly that was fun.
I think all I have in the P-07 is the hammer and a 17lb hammer spring. Nothing else got changed and it is excellent, in my opinion.
If you are new to the gun and are happy with the trigger as it is in single action mode, I wouldn't change the hammer, at least for now. If the double action pull is a little rough or too heavy, you can change just the hammer spring and do a little polishing and get it pretty darn good without spending a lot of money.
But, if you want to fix it up to the best it can be and never fool with it again, put the CGW parts in it and be done with it. That's kinda what I did on the two P-09s, but they are match guns. The P-07 is a trainer/carry gun now and I didn't want the trigger pulls to feel much different than what the students could buy for themselves, so I only changed the hammer.
