That?s actually pretty reasonable for a drum mag. HKParts is asking $200 for an MP5 drum and $220 for a Colt pattern 9mm AR drum.

No, drums aren?t cheap or practical. But they?re fun. I have several backloading drums for AKs, the D60 AR drum, a Korean Glock 9mm drum, the GSG 110 round .22lr Ruger 10/22 drum, and HKParts 50 round .22lr drum for my Beretta ARX 160.

The only one that isn?t reliable is the HKParts rimfire drum. It?s a Black Dog drum with a tower for the Umarex rimfire ARs like Colt, HK and ARX. Unfortunately, the follower and feed lips don?t match my factory mags and feed too low. These Black Dog drums seem to run fine in 10/22s but someone dropped the ball on the feed tower, I think they just used the same follower rather than redesigning it. So I?ll have to see a few positive range reports before I plunk down on one.

The FDE option is a nice touch...

Happy New Year.
From my personal experience with my F5 MFG drum so far so good. I purchased it in November and have put 250 rounds through it to date. So far, every round shot went through 👌. The construction of the magazine is really good. My only complaint is loading the darn thing.

I wish Beta would make/sell a tower for my 9mm Beta-Mag, that would look awesome on the Scorpion EVO!  I?ve had it for 12-13 years and probably  shot with it 3-4 times
