Kadet on Shadow Tac II?
« on: December 05, 2017, 10:06:11 PM »
Just wondering if the Kadet .22 upper will fit on the Custom Shadow Tac II model.  Been thinking about replacing my old 75 SA for something fancy, but I love shooting .22 on the same frame.

It will fit just fine but the Tac II has a lightened mainspring installed that might give you issues with .22 LR ammunition. If you put a stock 20# mainspring in the gun to shoot .22 you should be alright.

The TAC II is built on the standard 75B frame.......so, yes the Kadet will fit.....and yes to everything afultz075 also, only thing I would add is you can go down to as low as a 17# main/hammer spring and still get 100% reliability. If your just shooting SAO all the time the heavier the main/hammer spring the better ;)

I will echo Guardians statement. 17# seems to be as low as you can go without modding the firing pin on the kadet. You should get 100% ignition with a 17# main. I say should, because I have seen CZ frames and top ends vary in regards to dimensions.

For reference, Full size STANDARD 75s have a 20# main, compact have a 19# main.

Wolff sells reduced power mainsprings for 75 series pistols relatively inexpensively.  Shipping is more expensive than 2 springs.

Let us know how you make out!!!

Well, I ended up buying a 9mm 1911 instead of the Shadow Tac, I just like shooting them more.  I see they make a Kadet kit for the Shadow 2 now  so that's cool.  Wonder if they'll make a Kadet for the P-10 at some point..
