Joining the SP01 club
« on: December 21, 2017, 08:22:31 PM »
Made a deal 9 on a gently used SP01 tactical and 4 mags. Have a P09 and P01 Omega in the stable. Looking forward to getting this gun and shooting it in some of my IDPA matches.

I pick it up tomorrow

Oh you got the bug too. The group starts at 9p. Sit down, introduce yourself, and say, "I am a CZ addict, I don't need help, I'm not stopping."

Enjoy it!

I picked it up today, used but in great shape. Very pleased with it, ergonomics, tigger, etc.  now just need to get it to the range next weekend.

Merry Christmas

Finally got to shoot my SP01T and am impressed. Accuracy, recoil management, tigger all surpassed my expectations.

Had only one FTF, likely the round was out of tolerance. Was shooting American Eagle 147 FMJs. Regardless, it didn?t repeat itself in the SP01T nor the P01 Omega I shot in our monthly IDPA match.

Will shoot the SP01T next match and will report it here.

Very happy with it.

Yep, MY SP-01 tac is a very nice shooting. feeling weapon, its been like all my CZ pistols amazingly reliable.
Then I bought a Sp-01 Shadow -2 and  found that there really is a better feeling  CZ out there, WOW--Love that weapon .
both are here to stay at my place though.

Shot my new to me SP01T today at an abbreviated IDPA match. Did fairly well, scoring middle of the pack ( my usual) as well as scoring SS on the new 5x5 classifier which was one of the stages.

This was the first real workout for this gun. Previous time was just 3 Mags function check.

Am impressed with it as I am with my P01 Omega and P09.

These guns will remain with me and not be traded anytime soon.

I recently got an SP-01 Tactical that I'm setting nut for SSP/Production in IDPA/USPSA.  I had gotten a safety-equipped SP-01 a little while back and was going to set it up like a Shadow, but then figured the costs/time would have been almost the same as just getting a Shadow (have since got a Shadow 2).  What's strange is that the safety-equiooed SP-01 pointed a bit high for me and also the beavertail dug into my thumb joint a bit.  The Tactical model points right on and doesn't dig in with the beavertail at all.  I'm wondering if there are slight differences in the frame shape between the two variations.

Yeah I?m pretty sure you?re right about that.

I?ll wait until I have a few hundred rounds through my own pistol before I decide to go full fan boy on CZ.

Shot my SP01T at the local IDPA match. Came in the upper half , which is average for me. Had 2 brain farts and one bad mag that contributed to final score.

Used today?s match to try the gun with the LOK grips I bought from MoRivera. They worked great- thanks Mo!

One thing I noticed - it appeared the SP01 recoiled more ( nothing to complain about) than my P09. Would have thought it would be less due to the weight, but not the case for me, or at least from the videos I have.

Regardless, am enjoying shooting my CZs in the local IDPA matches.

May as well get in on this thread, mine is listed as a CZ 75 SP-01 and I just got it to the range today. I have the manual safety, which I prefer, along with night sights, the rail, and a bit of checkering on the front and back strap. The magazines have a pad on the bottom. I am very well pleased, had it out for the first time today and it shot very well. The weight makes it a soft shooter. I had a standard CZ 75B some time ago and regretted selling it ever since.
Best,
Rob

p.s. It ran 100%, split evenly between Blazer aluminum 115 gr. and Fiocchi 124 gr. 50 rounds each.
