Tool Steel Striker For The P-10
« on: December 27, 2017, 09:26:53 AM »
Just received great news from Cajun Gun Works. They have designed a tool steel striker for the P-10 that is now in production and should be available in the next few weeks or less. Since the tip of the original stock striker broke off on my P-10 and was replaced by another stock striker I will definitely be ordering one from CGW.

That is great news. I will definitely be purchasing one. The factory firing pin is a very weak at the tip. I had one break off at the 4,000 round mark. Called CZ-USA and they sent me a used one. Put an additional 300 rounds through the gun and the tip of the used one I received from CZ-USA has broken off.

Wow that's not good. I've got about 200 rounds through the gun with the used one I received from CZ-USA. So far so good but I will jump the CGW as soon as its available. BTW do you do a lot of dry firing? I do but I now use snap caps which I never did until the striker tip broke on my P-10.

I do dry fire allot, but I use an o-ring and a snap cap.  I'll be watching when CGW offers the new striker.

Schmeky has a thread going in the CGW forum section that he is continually updating; photo of their new trigger which is expected to be available sometime in January 2018. Keep an eye on it:

Thanks for the heads up. I also contacted CGW and asked them to email me as soon as the new striker is available which they agreed to do.

Spoke with Cajun Gun Works this morning. Their new tool steel striker for the P-10 goes into production in the next few days and should be available in approximately 2 weeks. Cost should be around $45. Sign me up!

Getting really, really close on the new CGW tool steel strikers.  Here is an initial batch, headed for a quick turn around on heat treat.
