CZ 527 American Suppressor-Ready, question
« on: January 13, 2018, 01:56:03 PM »
Hello All,

I'm looking to assemble a compact, bolt action, suppressed rifle in x39. The 527 and the Ruger American ranch rifle are what i've narrowed it down to.

Can anyone tell me the overall length of the 527? I can't seem to find that. I messaged CZ a while back, but have given up on a response.

Also, i'm seeing comments of bolt/scope interference or really close proximity, when cycling. I had planned to throw my Trijicon, Accupower, 3x9 on there using the supplied 1", CZ rings. Anybody successfully used this set up?

Any info is appreciated and thanks.

go to cz usa.com, click products, rifles, micro centerfire and you can look at specs on all the 527 models.  They vary from short carbines, full stock carbines to the 527 American in 6.5 Grendel which is the longest of the bunch with a 24" barrel.

The standard is 40.4inches with a 21.9" barrel, suppressor model has 16.5" barrel, so 5.4" shorter than 40.4 or I would say 35 inches.

Yeah, i went to CZ first. http://cz-usa.com/product/cz-527-american-synthetic-suppressor-ready/

I'll try calling them again. The tech support wasn't sure.

I noticed they did not post total length on suppressor ready 527, so took difference in barrel length of that one and a standard rifle, and took the difference off the length of a standard rifle to get what I think would be total length of suppressor ready model,

Got to love that the Ruger takes the standard mini 30 mags. Easy swap from 5, 10 or 20 rounds.

You want the OAL for the base rifle or the rifle with CZ supplied suppressor?
The 527 American is 40.4 inches by itself, and the Ti suppressors are 8.83 inches with the reflex, so I'm guessing that would be the answer, roughly 49.23 inches.

Thanks jkingrph and armoredman, for the info. I was looking for the base, OAL.

Anybody seeing bolt/scope interference?

I was not considering sticking a suppressor on the end of the CZ American, but was calculating the total length of the Suppressor ready model, Which has a barrel roughly 5 1/2 inches shorter than the standard American model, The title of his thread invoked the Suppressor ready model, not the standard model, which is why I came up with 35 inches, without the suppressor. If your suppressor is 8.8 then I would calculate about 43.5 inches with suppressor,     Looking at picturasses on CZ website, that show standard American next to suppressor ready model that would probably be about right.

I made my calculations based on the assumption that the stock on the standard and suppressed model are the same.

Hey, they responded!

You were right, jkingrph. They said 35.25", overall length.

I asked again about bolt/scope interference. We'll see.
