Bren 805 barrel lugs peening?
« on: January 17, 2018, 11:19:40 AM »
Any idea if this is bad machining or the bolt hitting the lugs?  There is some slight peening on the lugs.

There son finish wear on the side of the bolt lugs that ride he lugs on that side but no finish wear on the other side. Wasn’t too concerned about finish wear but am a little curious if the metal displacement in barrel lugs is from contact with the bolt.

Anybody have any thoughts? Machine marks or something I should contact CZ about?

Hmm, not having mine in front of me right now I couldn't REALLY say if mine looks the same, but it's still running like a top. I think I've seen some AR15 bolts with similar wear on locking lugs, but maybe not as prominent. Did you send the pic to CZ-USA and ask? I'm really tempted to say normal wear and tear, but I could be wrong.

I didn’t message them yet. I don’t want to bug them if it is a non issue. Don’t want to be that guy.
