How about a more compact 97BD for carry?

This would be nice but I'm not sure there's anything on the horizon. Right now it looks like CZ is putting it's developmental eggs in the striker/polymer basket. We can only hope for the future though.

I agree, a more compact version would be nice...as would a full sized one with a rail.

CGW can add a rail to the 97 for you. Give them a call. They do a nice job.

Jericho FS45 would be the equivalent of a CZ 97 compact. A friend brought one to the range and I was impressed. The recoil was much lower than I expected, considering it's size.

There is also the Baby Eagle, but it has a slide mounted safety instead of a frame mounted one like the CZ, Jericho, 1911,etc.
