I am new to concealed carry. I intend to carry my P-01. There is just this one problem, I don't know anything about holsters or even where to begin. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

First you will have to decide how "concealed" you need or want to be. Are you looking for Deep concealment or just to pass a good sniff test. Much of that depends on where you live and the definition of "concealed" and the sensitivity to the people you may move around. Then you should think about how often you plan to wear it.

... good info cut for brevity ...

Boriqua ...I appreciate your post/information and found it very helpful as I start this process.  Thanks again.

Boriqua makes the nicest holsters I have seen.
This guy not only knows about them he makes them and they are freaking AWESOME.
if you want a holster that is every bit as great as your gun give this guy a look.

I own a pile of holsters and the 3 or 4 I have from him are by far the best looking finest made I have.
Not mmuch for competing with but I have competion holsters for that.

So many choices and answers to this question.
First a good carry belt is mandatory, then decide if IWB or OWB. Material you want/like (Kydex/polymer/leather/hybrid).
Type of holster, pancake, high ride, slide, thumb break.
Color, mix or match with other leather, belt, shoes, to some it matters.
Fit of firearm to holster is also very, very important!
The best I can offer is to look, handle and feel as many as you can.
Holsters have a tendency to become a collection.
Just study and hopefully you will find the one you want/need!
Best of luck.

Holsters are as wide spread as carry weapons as far as preference , you may have 1 or 2 you end up donating or trading later one as you try  more down the line
