I have always been impressed with czechollector's collection and knowledge of the C&R CZ's and pre-CZ's.

His tag line was the motivation for my tag line.

Nice collection!!! Opinion: When obtaining an older pistol such as the VZ 50/70..is it better to leave the finish/grips alone, or redo them? I've got a 70 and a 27, the 27 was Dads and is chrome?nickle?, unknown on when or who did it,but nice job. I redid the 70 with a park finish and Klinsky grips...thinking about getting another one or two.

A lot of pistols brought back after WWII got chromed. Quality of the chrome job varied widely, sounds like yours was well done. I generally leave surplus guns as they were, but I am debating installing a set of Mepro Tru-Dots on a vz82 (I do CCW that pistol).

Personally, I would leave a 50 alone.  It is a C&R after all.
70's...not done anything to mine.  Really prefer original condition.
Besides, I figure 70's will be curios........eventually. ;)

My first CZ pistol was also a vz52. I had just received my C&R FFL and had to go buy something.

Bought a 75B ? next and the rest is History.

38 is in the bottom left corner, right above a pair of 52's.
