CZ 455 Varmint on the way need ring advice....
« on: December 09, 2017, 10:38:45 AM »
I just ordered my CZ 455 Varmint .22LR yesterday.  I'm wanting to get a Mueller 8-32x44 Scope but I'm not sure what "height" rings to get.  Any suggestions?

Great choice of scopes. I have two of them, one on my 455 varmint, the other on a Brno #4.Easily read a digital wrist watch at 50 yds.

If you haven't purchased rings yet check out rimfire central and click cz/Brno then click scopes and rings under the stickies section. Updated all the time.

I am using the mid/medium height 30mm rings (don't laugh) Leapers and SWFA 10x42:

Perfect height for consistent cheek weld.

I picked up my 455 Varmint last night. My Mueller 8-32 is in the mail. I went with the BKL 257 rings.

The 8-32 is a 30mm tube scope the rings you list are 1 inch tubes get the BKL 300 30MM highs and line them with old style 3m cloth electrical friction tape.  The Muellers are real thin tubes so be careful to tighten evenly and not to tight as you can bind side focus and ruin scope.  I own both the BKL and the Mueller mine is mildot

Did you get mil dot or target dot ???

Thanks for the info. I should have noticed that. One of the posters on the above linked chart claims to have the Mueller 8-32x44 and BKL 257 rings.  Now here I sit with 1? rings and a 30mm scope which bites because I got rained out of work and got my scope and rings in the mail today I was going to head to the range.  I wish I had checked this thread sooner. Oh well thanks for the suggestion on the BKL 300 rings. Oh, and my reticlebis mil dot.
