I have two CZ-82s. Both mags for the first one rattle when loaded but, only one mag from the new rattles. The one that doesn't is designed differently. It appears to be the newest design CZ has come up with. The pic below is from the CZ-USA website and looks just like my newest "used, surplus" mag. When fully loaded, it doesn't rattle no matter how hard I shake it. I suspect, the dimples at the bottom of the mag were designed to fix the rattle issue for the US CCW market.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

What part of "shall not be infringed" do you not understand?

My 82 has 1 mag that rattles and one that doesn't. They both load, hold, and cycle rounds the same though. One just sounds like there is a BB bouncing around in it or something.

The above pictured magazine is the one that doesn't rattle. The channel CZ added on both sides of the mag body at bottom eliminates the rattle. I suspect the old design allows a loss of tension on a round near the bottom of the mag which the two channels in the new design prevents.

The reason for the rattle is the way the rounds stack in a double stack magazine as the spring compresses. If you search the forum there are innumerable threads on the subject.

Here's one: https://czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=54070.msg337197#msg337197

I know this thread is from 2010, but as much as this comes up, maybe this quote should be a sticky.

Sure, but where? The FAQ? No one reads the stickies we have already. It's like they're written in invisible ink.
