Hello Orizondo,

If you are going to use a buffer tube assembly you can pick up a HERA Side Folding Unit that will allow you to set up for either right hand or left hand folding. You would have to buy a buffer tube adapter, the HERA Side Folding Unit, a standard AR buffer tube and either a stock or arm brace to attach to the buffer tube.

The price on the SFU is around $115-150 and the buffer tube adapters go for about $50. The tube and stock or brace very greatly.

Good luck!

I have been contemplating a folder too.  Any of them is ?locked? when folded?

I have the SFU with buffer tube adapter, buffer tube, and Kak blade.  It works great, but does add a lot of length when folded, and a bit of weight.  I imagine the OEM folding stock is really light weight compared to this setup, but no left fold there.

The lage would be a better option if you are trying to stay as small as can be. Probably an inch or two shorter when folded.

I also have a Hera side folding unit with buffer tube and shockwave brace. I set it up to fold to the left and I enjoyed it but am no longer using it. If interested pm me and I?ll make you a deal.

as a lefty, been contemplating switching it up.. but haven't pulled the trigger yet. being a carbine, i'm firing with the stock locked.. a left folder isn't going to change anything right now.
