Shadow/Sp-01 Windage?
« on: June 17, 2018, 10:45:34 AM »
Has anyone successfully adjusted their windage on the new Kadet kit?
I am finding my set screws extremely tight, and I have used all the normal methods to get it loose, such as heat, shock, impact and so on.

I don't want to damage the finish of the set screws or round them off, as this kit may eventually be a warranty item, and I don't want CZ pointing to me as the issue.

Just wondering if anyone has experience with this?

Happy Fathers Day to all you dads!!!!!

Try using a soldering iron to heat the screw. The concentrated/localized heat from the iron will melt the loctite better. Good luck.

You can also try putting a couple drops of Acetone on the the Screw
It could take a couple applications, but the Acetone will "melt / loosen" any LocTite
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what's coming after HIM !

Thanks guys. I have already used the soldering iron. No luck, I did not try acetone yet, but I know that works. I will test on the underside before I go all out.

My guess is the easy solution is just getting a taller front sight..

I do appreciate the feedback this site provides!!
