New 97 B!
« on: April 14, 2018, 09:18:02 PM »
I am very proud to say that I added a new 97 B to my CZ collection. I have shot 50 rounds through it and love it.  Are there any flaws of this thing of beauty that I should beware of? I love everything about my 01411 except the rear sight. Any experienced suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The 97 is an outstanding handgun. Every time I shoot my 97BD I wonder why I still have 1911's laying around. The new models-2012 and newer have no real issues to speak of. The early models were finicky about anything but ball ammo but that has been rectified.
You might remove the screw that holds the loaded chamber indicator in place and add a drop of blue loctite to it,they can come loose otherwise.
CGW has some good sight options and many other good upgrades for the 97 as well. Check them out.

After putting a few hundred rounds through my 97B I sent it off to Cajun Gun Works (CGW) to get the "E" conversion. The "E" conversion includes the Reach Reduction Kit (RRK) which helped me a great deal (small/medium hands). I also had them install their new adjustable rear sight and a FO front sight. It was a really good pistol when I sent it to CGW and it came back an awesome pistol.
