Remington Ammo - A little more Info please
« on: April 22, 2018, 04:33:04 PM »
Went to Remington's website today to see their latest and greatest self defense ammo.

https://www.remington.com/ammunition/handgun/ultimate-defense-handgun-loads

Seems like there's a bunch of stuff there, but wait how many grains in these rounds?

No Clue, what a disappointment.  I guess I'll stick with Federal, they give you all the information you need.

If I'm just missing it, someone let me know.

Just found some information on the Ballistics Info page, but it doesn't seem to seem to tie it back to the
specific product.  Still disappointed.

The box pictured on the page is 147gr 9mm Luger.  You can read it on the upward facing panel of the box.

If you're other option is Federal, I'd stick with Federal anyway if for no other reason than they use Federal primers.  ;)

If you click on the 40 S&w it still shows the picture of a box of 147 grain 9mm

In 9mm, they have 124gr and 147gr standard pressure and 124gr +P.  In .40, they have 165gr and 180gr.  You can Google by product number and find it pretty easily.

Regardless, I'd stick with Federal in your shoes.  ;)

thanks for the input ID.

This was mostly a rant on Remington's web page, I shouldn't
have to google their products and get the info from secondary sources.

Amen to that.
Admittedly I'm biased against Remington anything...long story. :P

Agree with that.  And I am with 1SOW.  I won?t buy anything from Remington.  It?s a different but also long story.  ;)
