Bren in .300blk
« on: May 09, 2018, 12:44:57 AM »
So I?ve been eyeing the Bren pistol basically since it came on the marketing 15?, at last years shot show (2017) cz announced they would be releasing the Bren pistol in .300blk but after months of it being listed on many firearms websites it has never appeared to been in stock has cz abandoned the .300blk for the Bren all together? are they having production issues? Please someone fill me in I figure this would be the best source of info short of calling CZ

From what I understand, CZ is concentrating all its Bren production in meeting demand with all the Bren variants in 5.56 and 7.62.
You can always tell a Slovak, but you can't tell him much. Just ask my wife. ;)

I called and both the parts department and the sales department had no idea even on year /quarter /if it's even being looked at. I hate to say this, but I think CZ may have abandoned us current owners it promised 300blk to gents

I'm just thankful CZ brought the 5.56 Bren to the US in pistol and rifle form.

Sometimes it's like my Dad said, "put your wants in one hand and your gets in the other hand and see which fills up faster."

YouTube video from shot 2017 suggested the .300blk Brens would be on the market some time that year but here we are 5 months in to 2018 and the guns aren?t even on their website or catalog unlike the 2017 catalog

The x39 bren would definitely be interesting i am just already invested in .300BLK and see the Bren pistol format as ideal

Supply and demand - the 805 and BREN 2 rifles are in demand worldwide and the factory has to fill military and police orders, same story as why the Phantom was unavailable for such a long time. I suspect when orders slow/are filled, they will look at what else they can do. Considering the BREN 2 has already eclipsed the 805 in demand worldwide, I would suspect that when/if the BREN 2 is available for the US market, than the 805 might just quietly slip away...unless demand in the US is still high enough.

Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but I'm pretty sure my reply above was not posted yesterday on May 9th.  Some forum software glitch?

I would still like a 7.62x39 Bren though.  Got lots of x39 ammo, but only a handful of .300 BO at twice the price.  Yes, someday I'll reload after I retire when I have lots of free time.   I don't see the point of .300 BO unless suppressed.

Considering how many BRENs are on gunbroker...safe to say the demand has went away already...which is felt across the industry as well.

So far the only Bren2 I?ve seen is the awesome T-shirt I won at this past Xmas raffle. And every time I wear it and run into somebody like us they?re like ?ooh what is that and where can I get one??

Not complaining here Mr. A;  But darn it I want one!
