Thanks for all the positive comments, not many cz?s at the gun shows or shops here in nc. I?ve found  what I?ve been looking for but it is nice to hold one before you buy blindly. I rolled the dice on a ts orange in 9mm and love it. But the search is part of the process. Thanks guys

I was looking at a CZ in one of our local ranges that rents guns, asked if they had any to rent and was told they used to rent them but had to pull them from the rental area.   The reason being that people would rent them, most really were impressed and would want to buy one, but they could never keep enough stock and order fulfillment would be too long and customers would get upset/discouraged and cancel orders etc.    They still have a few from time to time but no longer have them in the rental area, and they discourage customers from ordering them if they don't have one in stock.

I always say that CZ is like spawning salmon.  And I do love salmon.

You have Google at your command. You're either not looking hard enough, or like most just being lazy...

Production of specific models is cyclic... so sometimes there is a wait, especially when demand is high and you are shopping online with folks who tend to offer great deals.

It's my understanding the boat has docked with cargo intact.

Good call, DJK11: just got word yesterday May 29, 2018 that Wifey's Suppressor-Ready Urban Grey SP-01 Tactical, ordered on April 3, 2017 is in and ready for pick up. Only 1 year, 1 month, and 26 days wait.

Good things come to those who wait.

The one sure cure for buyer's remorse is to jump directly to the CZ marque, and within these global-best ergonomic, accuracy, reliability, and functionality products choose the best-of-all feeling pistol, the extended magazine 2075 RAMI (whose progenitor the CZ 40 had sole Colt requirement of external similarity to the 1911, http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=5466.0 hence the most perfectly ovalled grip of all, being redesigned for the shorter 40 cal cartridge), and from there choose the BD decocker version which also features Tritium TruDot night sights. Go to your nearest authorized CZ dealer, put in your order, and wait, in confidence that all of the also-rans you're avoiding are nothing but distracting wastes of time.

I understand everyone in the situation where they want a CZ and its hard to find.
In the end, I get a warm & fuzzy feeling when I see that those pistols are highly sought after and that owning one means a lot.

I believe that patience is key in this case and the pistols are worth it!
I'm glad I started my collection with a CZ. Now, the second pistol might be a CZ too! But I think that 9er domestic won't let me get another one for a little while....fair game, she bought me this one (CZ-75B Omega, 2016 vintage).

I blame the impatience of younger folk on the invention of the "microwave" oven.

When us old folks were infants, we had to wait for our parents to boil water on the stove to heat up our refrigerated formula bottles.

When microwave ovens came along, the wait was minimized and infants got used to instant gratification.

This negative behavior has only been reinforced by things like fast food, instant messaging, video on demand, email, Google, Wikipedia, etc.

Patience is a virtue. It helps grow your determination.

rdcinhou,

I hear you. Although with the large amount of CZs in your signature block, you must be the most patient person on the planet! Well done on the collection. I'm envious.

I do have patience and persistence.  But I'm also VERY good at finding things.

To build this collection, I've been to many stores, pawn shops, gun shows* and online auctions.

*I've had vendors at shows comment about seeing me at multiple other shows hundreds of miles away and in some of the most out-of-the-way small town venues.

I also have developed relationships to many store owners and exhibitors to let them know what I might be looking for and to get information about when they might be able to provide them.

Of course Houston is big enough that often we have 2 and occasionally even 3 shows that I can attend in the same day!

I also message with other collectors on this forum and others.  You'd be surprised on what you can find out!
