G'day from the Land Down Under
« on: May 27, 2018, 05:05:27 AM »
G'day folks,

Stumbled onto this site whilst researching BRNO's & thought I'd register.
Already have a couple of these magic rifles, a ZKW465 & a  Model 2 Fox, both in 22 Hornet.  I have just bought a great looking CZ 527 Varmint in 222Remington as I had been searching for a Fox in 222. The prices were too high for my liking or from the pics I requested, there was evidence of abuse, poor barrels & even excessivly hot loads leading to gas cutting on the bolt face.
Plus, a number of folks said to avoid the Fox as parts are a nightmare to get.
Well as it turns out a great Fox Model 2 in 222Remington turned up today for the right price & in the right condition. So I thought bugger it, why can't I have both? So I  bought it!

Am looking forward to reloading for both of these rifles to see what potential they have.

G'day to you Gunnie. Your little .222 is a special little performer. I moved away to the .223 and often think I should have stayed where I was.

G'day folks.  Thanks for the welcomes.
Hey Willey,   always time to go back to a 222  ;)
Have a 223 also, but it's a Savage LE-fp10. Good for punching 69gn pills out to 600m+, but not so for carting around.
I'm delving more into the smaller calibres as the cost to reload/shoot iss far more agreeable to the wallet, than my larger cals. So having the two 222's coming in will give me more fun at the reloading bench & shooting bench.
